  • We've been recognised as a best practice organisation for supporting residents through Welfare Reform!

    The Citizens Advice Bureau has praised our work in helping people affected by under occupation (bedroom tax) and the benefit cap. We've been showcased on their website as part of the 'Making welfare work locally' best practice sharing project. This project aims to improve the experiences of people affected by welfare changes. It promotes "innovative and effective work" by local authorities and housing associations in England and Wales.

  • MPs visit new home development in Gillingham

    We're building 17 new homes in Gillingham and Shadow Housing Minster, Emma Reynolds MP visited the site. Emma was joined by Chris Leslie MP, Shadow Secretary to the Treasury to find out more about the way small building firms are contributing to housing supply. The building work at our site on Canterbury Road, Gillingham has been undertaken by local firm Building Associates Limited (BAL). The scheme will bring much needed new homes to local people.

  • We've been given over 20.4million pounds of grant funding to build new homes!

    AmicusHorizon has been awarded over 20.4million pounds of grant funding which will go towards building another 689 affordable homes. The money will help us create a further 330 homes in London and 359 homes in Kent and Sussex between 2015 and 2018. Combining this new allocation with its current development programme, we're expecting to complete more than 1,200 much needed homes by March 2018.

  • Bexhill residents 'Get On' with 'life changing' course!

    Bexhill residents who completed a 'life changing' course have been celebrating their achievements. Participants of AmicusHorizon's 'Get On Plus' programme were presented with certificates on Friday 11 July at the Bexhill Museum. Get On Plus provides training courses and workshops for local low waged and unemployed people. It helps them build their confidence and skills to move into volunteering and paid work.
