The event aimed to encourage young people to get involved with their landlords on the issues that affect them and the neighbourhoods they live in. The TSA also wanted to hold a 'conversation' with the youngsters on the new, national standards for social housing landlords. ![]() Just under 100 young residents from across the country attended the event. With seven youngsters, AmicusHorizon had the highest representation of any landlord. When the TSA asked the question "how many of you have been part of the decision making process in your organisation?" All seven young people from AmicusHorizon stood up and explained the decisions they have been involved in. The youngsters all sit on one of four AmicusHorizon youth forums in the London and Surrey region. Sasha Bridges of Croydon Youth Forum won £20 gift voucher for her input. Althea Callum, Resident Involvement Officer at AmicusHorizon said:"I'm so proud of our young residents who attended the TSA's youth event. They all got really involved, putting forward their views on their neighbourhoods and homes." |
